Medical Emergency Solutions (MES) was created by a group of senior Perth based emergency physicians in early 2001 to service the growing need for specialist medical support to paramedics working on remote industrial sites both in Western Australia’s vast interior and in the burgeoning offshore oil and gas industry.
Over the past decade MES doctors have developed unrivalled experience in providing 24-hour emergency telemedicine advice service in Western Australia. As the demand for and popularity of our services has grown we have expanded our customer base and now also provide services in the Northern Territory.
MES has ensured that only senior emergency physicians who actually work with critical patients on a daily basis are used to provide support. Only fully qualified and accredited Emergency Physicians can provide high standards of 24-hour emergency advice to remote areas in the increasingly complex and litigious medical world of today. Although most calls for urgent advice will be of a less serious nature, when a medical emergency or major incident occurs a thorough knowledge of resuscitation and up to date urgent care principles is required.
Appropriate advice needs to be combined with seamless transport/retrieval and referral strategies. As practicing emergency physicians in the State of WA and the Northern Territory, MES doctors have an intricate knowledge of retrieval systems and close working relationships with all types of specialists in teaching and private hospitals. This streamlines the movement of a sick patient to the most appropriate specialist medical care in the shortest time possible.
